Position Overview

Role: Substance Use Disorder Counselor - CADC I, CADC, LCAS-A, LCAS, LCSW-A, LCSW

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 5 AM - 1:30 PM with rotating Saturday mornings, 6 AM - 8 AM.

About Us:

Asheville Comprehensive Treatment Center, part of Acadia Healthcare's network, is a leading provider of medication-assisted treatment in the United States. Our dedicated counseling team offers compassionate and high-quality therapy to individuals seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver compassionate and high-quality guidance during individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Plan, manage, and document the recovery process for patients.
  • Co-facilitate group or family therapy sessions as required.
  • Ensure timely and clear documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.
  • Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
  • Assess patient needs and determine if referrals to additional programs or facilities are necessary.
  • Coordinate aftercare planning for assigned patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Perform case management duties to ensure personalized quality care.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and referral sources when necessary.
Qualifications:

Required Education and Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED; or
  • Bachelor's degree in a social or health services field; or
  • Master's degree in a social or health services field;
  • Degree must be from an accredited institution with practicum experience for licensure.
Preferred Experience:
  • Prior experience in addiction recovery and/or medication-assisted treatment (MAT) settings.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • CADC-I, CADC, LCAS-A, LCAS, LCSW-A, LCSW
  • Licensure or certification is mandatory for application.
