Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to join our team in San Mateo and Palo Alto. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our restaurant teams to deliver exceptional customer service, drive sales growth, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of restaurant staff, including assistant managers, shift leaders, and servers, to ensure excellent customer service and high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Develop and implement sales-building strategies to drive revenue growth and increase customer loyalty.
  • Operations and Quality Control: Ensure that all restaurant operations are running smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Financial Management: Manage restaurant finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and controlling costs to achieve profitability targets.
  • Customer Service: Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Team Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of restaurant staff, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all restaurant operations are in compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and that risks are identified and mitigated.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a fast-casual or casual dining environment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in restaurant management software and systems.
  • Certifications: Food Safety Manager certification required.
