About the Role
NETZSCH Pumps USA is seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically adept individual to fill the position of Process Engineer focusing on Material Management. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective operational strategies for engineering, manufacturing, and Bill of Material (BOM) generation, aimed at enhancing productivity and precision in Order Processing.
Key Responsibilities
The Process Engineer will:
- Enhance NETZSCH's Material Management Systems and devise efficient methods for creating Bills of Materials for various positive displacement products.
- Become an expert on NETZSCH's product line, collaborating with Sales and Order Processing to construct optimal Bills of Materials that reduce lead times and costs for spare parts and complete assemblies.
- Migrate Material Master data within the ERP System (SAP), including Material Master, characteristics, class, configuration profile, and Bill of Materials.
- Improve the BOM configurator's capacity to accommodate a wider range of configuration possibilities.
- Act as a technical consultant regarding the NETZSCH product range.
- Maintain material information and resolve Material Master issues.
- Request, evaluate, and approve vendor quotes for new materials.
- Troubleshoot issues related to pump construction and BOM.
- Assist Sales and Order Processing with material-related inquiries.
- Facilitate communication with international data management teams within NETZSCH's sister companies to ensure alignment on data structures.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, along with relevant experience or coursework in production planning or manufacturing.
Additional Skills
Successful applicants should demonstrate:
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a capacity to collaborate across various functions in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Data Management, with the ability to maintain processes and BOM structures within an ERP system.
- Previous experience with SAP or VBA is advantageous.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a current passport upon hire.
