Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical duties, preparing patients for encounters and maintaining examination rooms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform clerical and scheduling duties, including patient contact and communication.
  • Report patient care observations, deviations from patient plans, and other pertinent information under the direct supervision of a provider or licensed nursing staff.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as moderate knowledge of basic computer skills and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of infection control and venipuncture skills are desirable.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • 1-2 Years Medical Assistant experience, preferably in physician practice or outpatient clinic setting.
  • 1 year of secretarial or administrative experience, including medical terminology.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
  • Current nationally accredited Medical Assistant Certification/Registered, or Current Vermont State LNA License.
Pay Range

$16.28 - $24.17
