Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Utilities Engineer to join our team at the State of California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating, updating, implementing, and enforcing the operation, maintenance, performance, and safety standards of electric transmission and distribution infrastructure, and communication infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and update the operation, maintenance, performance, and safety standards of electric transmission and distribution infrastructure, and communication infrastructure.
  • Implement and enforce the operation, maintenance, performance, and safety standards of electric transmission and distribution infrastructure, and communication infrastructure.
  • Conduct policy and complex research analysis of electric and communication facilities in California.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the safety and reliability of electric transmission facilities, and communication facilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with state legislative or CPUC proceeding processes.
Requirements
  • Experience in conducting policy and complex research analysis of electric and communication facilities in California.
  • Experience in a lead capacity responsible for evaluating, updating, implementing, and enforcing the operation, maintenance, performance, and safety standards of electric transmission and distribution infrastructure, and communication infrastructure.
  • Experience with the safety and reliability of electric transmission facilities, and communication facilities.
  • Knowledge of utility electric and communication infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of the state legislative or CPUC proceeding processes.
