Position Overview:
The Room Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring, and work areas. Duties include replenishing supplies, sanitizing equipment, and making beds. This role typically involves vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and other general cleaning tasks.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Make beds and arrange linens.
  • Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses and writing materials.
  • Clean guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaners.
  • Dust furniture and equipment.
  • Polish metal fixtures and fittings.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
  • Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies.
  • Replace light bulbs as needed.
  • Adhere to safety regulations when using cleaning chemicals.
  • Report to work for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform according to company policy.
  • Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures related to this position.
  • Initiate friendly greetings to guests.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
