As an Administrative Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program by conducting eligibility interviews, reviewing program requirements, and educating clients on program standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct eligibility interviews and review program requirements to ensure clients meet the necessary criteria.
  • Apply processing standards and educate clients on program standards to ensure compliance.
  • Follow established guidelines for customer service and cultural competency to provide exceptional support to clients.
  • Prepare and submit reports to complete data collection and entry into SC WIC.
  • Validate and issue food instruments (FI) and Farmer's Market checks.
  • Attend relevant program and agency training and meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest developments.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.
  • Two years of medical office/clinical clerical office experience, including public contact, is preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills and office equipment knowledge are essential.
  • One year of experience with electronic health and medical records is a plus.
