Job Summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating quality patient care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with physician orders and developed care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Coordinate Quality Patient Care: Provide skilled nursing care to patients, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with physician orders and developed care plans.
  • Assess and Report Patient Condition: Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, reporting changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate.
  • Document Patient Care: Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner, whenever care is delivered.
  • Participate in Nursing Care Planning: Participate in the development, implementation, and update of nursing care plans, in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Provide Education and Support: Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies, and provide support to meet patient nursing needs.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Certifications and Competencies: Current CPR certification and demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
  • Experience and Skills: Six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting, with a strong attention to detail, effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, and good organization and communication skills.
Physical and Environmental Demands
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English, and must be able to travel, lift 50 pounds, and sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
  • Environmental Demands: Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments, which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions, and possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
