Athletic Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team at Arkansas Children's Hospital. As a key member of our sports medicine department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to student-athletes at Mills High School in Little Rock.
Responsibilities- Provide sports-related care to athletes, including injury evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.
- Make return-to-play decisions and maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions.
- Ensure the athletic training room is safe, organized, and well-maintained.
- Assist with supply ordering and inventory management.
- Collaborate with the sports medicine coordinator to manage budgets and resources.
- Refer athletes to appropriate healthcare providers and coordinate follow-up care.
- Implement emergency action plans and sports medicine policies with school and district personnel.
- Complete insurance claim forms and disseminate them as necessary.
- Act as an educator and advocate for patient/athlete/family.
- Be available by phone to assigned schools when not on campus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- 1 year of experience in athletic training or related field.
- Athletic Training (AR) certification from the Arkansas State Board of Athletic Training.
