ABOUT THE POSITION

The service operations team is dedicated to ensuring that client concerns are resolved efficiently and effectively, aligning with the commitments and guarantees of The Cavco Family of Companies. Fostering ongoing customer loyalty and support for the brand is a crucial element of the service operations team's achievements.

The Service Operations Technician addresses client issues directly on-site, often identifying and rectifying defect concerns within the framework of the company's warranties and commitments. This role involves assisting clients in comprehending their product acquisitions. The technician may operate independently or under direct supervision, executing specific procedural steps while undergoing continuous quality assessment and guidance as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Installs and repairs products, performing on-site post-installation repairs, calibrations, and maintenance as scheduled or required, utilizing knowledge of electronics, electrical systems, and appliances.
  • Reviews work orders alongside relevant manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams to ascertain tasks to be executed and tools, equipment, and parts necessary for installation or repair tasks.
  • Engages with the client's representative to discuss assignments and inspects the installation site to confirm that electrical supply lines, conduits, switches, and circuit breakers are installed per specifications.
  • Tests electrical components, including wiring, switches, and relays, using diagnostic instruments, and replaces defective components using hand tools.
  • Conducts routine preventative maintenance in accordance with established guidelines and schedules.
  • Ensures that products meet specified standards.
  • May provide training to clients on the operation of equipment.
  • May repair defective printed circuit boards.
  • May be available for on-call emergency repairs outside of regular business hours.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma with some college education.
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to anticipate and resolve practical issues.
  • Demonstrated history of effective customer service.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with co-management, internal, and external clients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a keen attention to detail.
