About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Behavioral Health Technician in our residential treatment facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide high-quality patient care in a therapeutic environment, engaging patients in treatment and ensuring their physical, emotional, and protective needs are met.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, observations, and progress, ensuring seamless transitions between shifts.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, attending and participating in unit meetings as needed.
  • Communication: Utilize effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and staff, resolving conflicts and providing support as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or an Oregon CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) license.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in a residential treatment facility treating adults and families, mental health, or addictions treatment setting.
  • Licenses and Certifications: National Provider Identifier required at hire, Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Experience: Three years of experience in a residential treatment facility treating adults and families with co-occurring disorders.
  • Consultation Experience: Experience in providing mental health and substance abuse consultation.
  • Therapeutic Knowledge: Basic understanding of CBT and DBT therapies.
  • Reporting Requirements: Understanding of role as mandatory reporter for neglect, sexual, and physical abuse.
