**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Lead Person Days Coordinator at Michael Foods, Inc. in Gaylord, Minnesota. As a key member of our distribution center team, you will be responsible for promoting a safe and productive work environment, creating teamwork amongst your shift and across shift lines, and leading by example to make things better for everyone associated with our company.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to ensure a smooth start to the day, communicate changes and daily workload, and analyze head count for workload and make adjustments as necessary.
- Monitor doors and ensure that inbound and outbound procedures are followed.
- Work closely with office staff to ensure a consistent workflow to the floor.
- Monitor pallet truck deliveries and ensure that trailers are unloaded and reloaded with repair pallets in a timely fashion.
- Verify Hot List loads and ensure that all procedures are followed.
- Monitor the floor for safety concerns or infractions and take appropriate action.
- Operate a forklift in a safe and productive manner, assist operators, and perform daily tasks when not performing lead duties.
- Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and free of damage, and that pallets are off the floor and placed into bins.
- Back up the supervisor in their absence and provide training and progressive training to forklift operators.
- Promote teamwork within your team and between teams by communicating in a positive and pleasant manner.
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure that product quality is maintained.
- Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety.
- Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Requirements:**
- A minimum of six months experience in a palletized warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong Leadership and Inter-Personal skills are required.
- The successful completion of a Powered Industrial Truck training program is required.
- The ability to use standard office technology such as a computer, copier/fax machine, and phone system.
- High school diploma or G.E.D or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effectively read, write, and speak English.
- Strong math and configuration skills are necessary.
- Successful completion of Michael Foods Power Industrial Truck program.
