We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Butterball, LLC. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance, utility, environmental, and facility activities at our plant.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and supervise a team of maintenance personnel to ensure the efficient operation of our production equipment and facilities.
- Develop and implement maintenance and utility budgets, and oversee the management of these budgets to ensure compliance with company goals.
- Direct the development and maintenance of our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Develop and implement employee training programs to ensure that maintenance personnel have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
- Coordinate environmental reporting and compliance with state and national agencies.
- Oversee plant improvement, construction, and repair projects.
- Review capital additions and changes in plant layout for their impact on maintenance.
- Arrange for the procurement of outside contractors as necessary.
- Manage the plant's energy program.
- Meet with USDA to ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations.
- Direct plant GMP training and safety activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in maintenance and engineering activities.
- Knowledge of CMMS, PMC for Windows, and ASE maintenance systems.
- Ability to control inventories and manage a parts room.
- Understanding of basic accounting and budgetary processes.
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration, PSM, and boiler operation and control.
- Knowledge of HVAC, compressed air, power distribution, and fire systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
