Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits and inspections of supplier materials to promote the implementation of effective quality assurance systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop solutions for material defects, ensuring adherence to product design specifications.
  • Perform routine material inspections and analyses to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Assist in solving engineering and technical problems using established methodologies.
  • Influence team members and processes through informed decision-making.

Accountabilities:
  • Drive suppliers to adopt quality assurance practices that guarantee defect-free materials.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to establish inspection criteria for workmanship and cosmetic defects.
  • Develop and prioritize auditing schedules to ensure compliance with manufacturing practices and quality standards.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and provide constructive feedback on their operations.
  • Contribute to the creation of quality metrics aimed at enhancing supplier performance.
  • Monitor the lifecycle of parts from acquisition through manufacturing, addressing supplier-related issues as they arise.
  • Support new product development and coordinate design reviews between manufacturing and suppliers.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and materials to maintain competitive advantage.

Strategic Role:
  • Support the quality engineering and manufacturing departments in achieving strategic objectives through project completion.
  • Adhere to technical standards and contribute to the successful execution of assigned projects.

Communication:
  • Engage regularly with internal teams across quality, supply chain management, manufacturing, and engineering.
  • Maintain communication with suppliers to ensure alignment on quality expectations.
  • Interpret and convey complex information effectively.

Work Environment:
  • Work under close supervision with detailed instructions provided for new assignments.
  • Support less experienced team members and escalate complex issues to senior staff as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of IGT's manufacturing processes and material inspection workflows.
  • Familiarity with the gaming industry and quality improvement tools.
  • Experience in supplier quality or supply chain management, typically ranging from 2 to 5 years.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
