Job Summary

The Registrar of the Computational Biology and Biomedical Informatics MS program will report to the Program Manager and work closely with the Faculty and Training Directors to provide oversight and administration of student affairs and academic support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct student affairs-related services, including recruitment, orientation, student organization management, and registration.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement programs for student affairs and academic support.
  • Recommend short- and long-term administrative and department goals.
  • Determine student eligibility for federal loan programs, school grants, job placement opportunities, and admissions.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and counseling in academic, admissions, career, and financial matters for students, faculty, and prospective students.
  • Initiate, design, and implement operational systems to maintain and monitor student records and applicant records.
  • Review and approve all written material for publication or press release.
  • Organize workshops and on- and off-campus recruitment events in career services, admissions, and financial aid.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operation of services, determine priorities, and maintain workflow.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and four years of experience in a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills, including the ability to work with advanced MS Office, complex databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with a range of internal and external constituencies.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation, and the ability to initiate programmatic and individual activities.
