Job Title: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

UCHealth (Colorado) is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide top-notch ultrasound services to our patients. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing various ultrasound procedures, reviewing patient history and physician's orders, and educating patients on procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound procedures, including selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and effective care.
  • Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State licensure if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
