Job Title: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

UCHealth (Colorado) is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform sonography in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs sonography in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
  • Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies, implements safety standards, and performs quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including re-positioning patients and repeating procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
