POSITION SUMMARY We are in search of a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager who excels in delivering exceptional service to our clientele. This individual will spearhead Project Teams across all facets of project oversight, encompassing design and production from initial concept to final execution. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and concluding projects within specified timelines and budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in design, furniture production, and project oversight, coupled with outstanding communication abilities and a talent for leading diverse teams. This role also entails defining project objectives and ensuring quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team Leadership: Inspire and mentor team members to foster collaboration, creativity, and professional development.
  • Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while upholding quality standards. Act as a resource for Project Coordinators in budget formulation.
  • Resource Management: Direct project resources and teams from initiation to closure.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with designers, engineers, and production teams to guarantee alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Project Planning: Create detailed project plans, encompassing scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure successful outcomes. Prepare and present project reports, proposals, necessary documentation, and presentations.
  • Scheduling: Manage all project timelines from inception to completion.
  • Project Liaison: Act as the primary contact for the entire project and all stakeholders (clients, sales, design, procurement, production, shipping/receiving, purchasing, risk management).
  • Communication Management: Oversee all communications and expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct site assessments during the project.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and devise mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet the company's quality benchmarks and client expectations through regular evaluations and inspections. Document project progress, troubleshoot issues, lead quality assurance efforts, and confirm adherence to schedules.
  • Timeline Oversight: Monitor project progress, adjusting timelines and resources as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Reporting: Provide consistent updates and progress reports to stakeholders, including management and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field or Equivalent Experience.
  • PMP Certification and completion of CEUs each year required. 3-5 years of management experience leading 2-4 project coordinators and administrators required.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) as a Project Manager in a design firm or furniture manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Hive, AutoCad) is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret design specifications, technical drawings, and construction blueprints is essential.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and materials is advantageous.
