The hospital is independently owned by a woman and provides board-certified specialty services including internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, surgery, oncology, and ophthalmology.
The team at CARE is seeking talented Registered Veterinary Technicians and Assistants to join their Emergency department. If you are looking to work alongside experienced Emergency Veterinarians who value the crucial role an RVT or Assistant plays in the patient and client experience, CARE is the place for you.
As an ER technician, your responsibilities will include triaging and assisting our ER doctors with managing intakes and outpatient emergency cases. You will be responsible for providing advanced nursing care to patients with compassion, assist veterinarians in all aspects of care, and perform tasks such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and automated laboratory analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a high school degree or equivalent, a minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will also be able to lift up to 40lbs unassisted, be emotionally intelligent, and possess critical thinking skills.
In return for your hard work, CARE offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits including 80 hours of PTO initially, company health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and a 401k plan with company match.
