Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled SUE Technician to join our team at Reconn Utility Services. As a SUE Technician, you will be responsible for locating and exposing underground utilities for design and excavation purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designate underground utilities safely and efficiently
  • Research and investigate underground utilities in an area, properly marking the location, completing necessary paperwork, and documenting each location
  • Use electronic field sketching, GPS, and data collection to document locations
  • Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and use a company-provided laptop to document projects
  • Perform vacuum excavation activities near utilities, including core drilling, shoveling, backfilling, and construction labor
Requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions; outdoor experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a confined space; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds
  • Computer proficiency
  • Availability to work overtime, including nights and weekends (as needed)
  • Previous locate experience required
  • Previous vacuum excavation experience preferred
  • Previous road machine operator or hydro-vac experience preferred
  • Ability to obtain a DOT Medical certificate to operate equipment
