Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Monitoring: Regularly inspect and maintain industrial production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Installation and Repair: Perform installation, troubleshooting, and repairs to production equipment, machinery, and facilities.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read, interpret, and implement blueprints, prints, and drawings to guide maintenance and repair activities.
  • Fabrication and Assembly: Perform fabrication for plant machinery, cutting and forming parts, and assembling components to construct equipment.
  • Collaboration with Electricians: Assist electricians as needed to install, repair, and replace equipment.
  • Welding and Metalwork: Perform arc and gas welding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain heating systems, ventilation, boilers, and other equipment.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform maintenance and repair on forklifts and semi-trucks.
  • General Maintenance: Perform general carpentry, plumbing, and pipefitting tasks.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Satisfactory completion of a related educational certificate, program, or degree, or comparable work experience, plus formal training in this area, and a fundamental mechanical aptitude.
  • Reliability and Attendance: Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
  • Industrial Experience: Significant (5+ years) relevant industrial experience.
  • Communication Skills: Utilize communication skills to interact with colleagues and internal customers.
  • Personal Tools: Must possess and use personal hand tools.
  • Lift Truck Operation: Certified to operate a lift truck operator or able to become such.
  • Overtime: Able to work overtime as required.
