Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at CareFirst Specialty Pharmacy. As a Pharmacist (Part-time/Per Diem), you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with NJ Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Perform final quality checks of prescription orders and ensure timely and accurate shipment.
  • Supervise compounding activities, including non-sterile preparations, and perform quality checks and calculations.
  • Assist front-end operations, including customer calls and consultations, and new Rx/refill processing.
  • Assist management with oversight of pharmacy technician, pharmacy assistant, and intern functions.
Requirements
  • NJ Board of Pharmacy RPh Registration.
  • Excellent customer service and phone skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy/compounding a plus but not required.
  • Valid NJ BOP Pharmacist Registration.
  • Be at least 18 years of age (or as required by state law).
  • Have typing skills of at least 30 WPM.
  • Pass a drug screen test.
  • Pass background check.
  • Read and understand USP and HIPAA.
  • Maintain information confidentiality.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.
Work Environment

CareFirst Specialty Pharmacy is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment. We provide personal protective equipment, temperature screenings, and sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place.

Working Hours

8 to 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9 AM to 6:30 PM.

Salary

$50.00 per hour.

Education

Bachelor's degree.
