Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medical prescriptions, performing necessary clerical duties, and working under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Occasional deliveries will be required (could be to residences or facilities or doctor's offices); would be less than 10% of the time; would be using your own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Connecticut
  • Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience
