As a Body Shop Operator at Mobility Works, you will be instrumental in adapting vehicles to meet specific mobility requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Executing automotive conversions, including the installation of new door openings and frames for wheelchair accessibility.
  • Adhering to blueprints and specifications to ensure precise modifications.
  • Performing welding, cutting, and fabricating tasks, while inspecting welds for quality and durability.
  • Dismantling and reassembling vehicle components such as axles, fuel lines, and exhaust systems.
  • Diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Upholding company quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; candidates must pass a welding test during the interview process.
  • Preferred experience includes at least one year in metal fabrication, welding, or related fields.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with welding exhaust systems and stainless steel is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with 12v wiring is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using tools such as MIG welders, plasma cutters, and various hand tools.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.
