Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse to join our team at MedStar Health. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiovascular program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Deliver proficient nursing care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including those undergoing cardiac procedures and surgeries.
    • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide timely and accurate information.
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest cardiovascular care practices and technologies.
    • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and share best practices with colleagues.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of experience in cardiovascular nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Certifications
    • Active RN license in the state of DC and Basic Life Support certification.
