Job Summary

The AI Institute is seeking an experienced Senior Build Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company-wide build system and continuous integration (CI) infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a reliable and reproducible build system and CI infrastructure for internal and external repositories.
  • Collaborate with research and development teams to integrate software and third-party libraries into the build system.
  • Drive release engineering efforts, including packaging, deployment, and version management.
  • Maintain and evolve version control workflows, ensuring efficient branching, merging, and code review processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development and 5+ years in Linux build/release engineering.
  • Strong experience with CI tools (e.g., GitHub Actions), build automation tools (e.g., Bazel, CMake, Colcon), and container technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • Proficiency in modern Python and C++ development and experience with dependency management tools (e.g., pip, poetry).

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
