Responsibilities

  • Design and build data pipelines and services that support greenhouse management operations.
  • Work with the front-end engineering team to determine requirements and implement end-to-end solutions.
  • Integrate with other back-end infrastructure that is distributed on premises and in cloud.
  • Help architect high-throughput databases that support plant growth and business tracking.
  • Support CI/CD and deployment processes.
  • Analyze and solve problems across all levels of the stack.
  • Produce clean, secure, testable, maintainable, reusable, well-documented code.

Requirements

">
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related subject.
  • 4+ years of back-end development experience.
  • Fluency in relational database technology (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).
  • Experience in designing and implementing APIs, with familiarity in micro-services oriented architecture.
  • Server-side development experience in Python or similar languages (Java, .NET, Golang).
  • Automated build platforms/continuous integration experience and knowledge.
  • Able to jump into new or existing code bases & learn new technologies and skills quickly.
  • Experience collaborating with a Product owner, UX designer, or Requirements Analyst, etc.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), time management, interpersonal and team participation skills.

Salary Range

">

The expected base annual salary range for this role is between $110,000 and 135,000.
