Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Metropolitan Community College. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing semi-skilled and skilled labor in various trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC/R.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned inspections and maintenance tasks on campus facilities and equipment
  • Coordinate with supervisors and site managers to understand campus needs and priorities
  • Oversee and perform preventative maintenance of MEP systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC/R
  • Manage and maintain work orders, records, and documentation using the CMMS system
  • Assist with snow removal duties and other special projects as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with 6 years of experience and a current license in a specified building trade, or 10 years of continuous experience in a skilled trade
  • Knowledge of building maintenance principles, electrical principles, plumbing principles, carpentry principles, and HVAC/R mechanics
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Physical ability to perform heavy work, including lifting, bending, and climbing
