Behavioral Health Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our PHP/IOP team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct support to clients in a PHP/IOP setting, collaborating with Masters-Level Clinicians and other mental health professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the team in maintaining a structured daily program, ensuring groups start on time for maximum client benefit.
  • Complete observation rounds and safety checks as per provider's orders.
  • Work with patients on de-escalation and implement coping skills per treatment plan.
  • Act as secondary support staff in group therapy and milieu.
  • Provide case management support to clients by setting up aftercare appointments.
  • Document client observations and individual check-ins throughout the day.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with Adolescents and Adults.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse client needs.
  • Demonstrates understanding and appreciation of cultural inclusivity and diversity.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • 6+ months of direct client care/milieu experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn department and job-specific software systems.
