Position Summary:

The Inventory Management Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all inventory items are accurately identified and easily accessible, in line with the organization's inventory cycle. The role operates on a second shift schedule from 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor Inventory Control personnel.
  • Manage job assignments and activities of Inventory Control staff, which include Receiving, Shipping, Order Fulfillment, Material Handling, and other Inventory Management functions.
  • Work closely with warehouse managers to provide timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Conduct daily inventory assessments; identify and rectify discrepancies and issues.
  • Oversee the stock item master, ensuring correct descriptions and stock numbers.
  • Assist order processors by locating items with incorrect locations or stock numbers.
  • Communicate with the Purchasing Department regarding new items, location changes, counts, etc.
  • Ensure that milestones and objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain adherence to the approved budget.
  • Participate in general maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse.
  • Operate a forklift as necessary.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, with coursework in purchasing and/or inventory control management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a related field is required.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience is necessary.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Card Holder, or a Non-Citizen authorized to work for any employer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong time management abilities with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective supervisory and leadership capabilities, with a focus on training others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, along with inventory management software.
