Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist at Patient First, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to obtain high-quality x-rays using correct positioning and radiation exposure. You will also be responsible for implementing safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and yourself. Additionally, you will create and document x-ray CD copies correctly, understand and use x-ray and processing equipment, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain high-quality x-rays using correct positioning and radiation exposure
• Implement safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and yourself
• Create and document x-ray CD copies correctly
• Understand and use x-ray and processing equipment
• Maintain accurate records
• Ensure patient safety when using wheelchairs, stools, and other equipment
• Understand and use automated medical records system
• Clean work area and maintain equipment according to OSHA guidelines
• Receive, move, and restock ordered supplies
• Adhere to Patient First policies and procedures
• Address physician and nurse requests with respect and in a timely manner
• Complete tasks listed on checklists for x-ray and treatment areas
• Attend training classes and staff meetings as scheduled

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Keyboarding experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• One year of clerical experience preferred
• One year of clinical experience preferred
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Licensed to practice as Radiologic Technologist by the Maryland Board of Physicians
