Pharmacy Collections Specialist

Our team is passionate about reimagining medication management and transforming care, and we're seeking a skilled Pharmacy Collections Specialist to join our rapidly growing team in Kernersville, North Carolina.
Job SummaryWe're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist in the billing, claims, collections, and accounts payable processes. As a Pharmacy Collections Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Make collection calls for outstanding invoices
- Assist in the production of collection letters for review by Business Manager
- Communicate and establish good relationships with facilities to obtain information as needed to assist with billing, patient set-up, and collections
- Make outgoing calls to insurers, responsible parties, and others to follow up on rejected claims and to garner accurate insurance information
- Assist Business Manager with credit card payments, statement inquiries, audits, and collections
- Work collaboratively with co-workers to ensure all deadlines for the department are met in an efficient manner
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
- Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required
- Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
- Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
