Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Clarios. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for efficiently executing the procure-to-pay process, identifying and evaluating new vendors, and negotiating contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate pricing and availability with suppliers, and manage released orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct sourcing activities using best practices to meet customers' quality and delivery requirements at reasonable prices.
  • Work with suppliers and internal departments to resolve potential disruptions and ensure a continuous supply of materials.
  • Track and evaluate vendor performance, and work with the accounting team to resolve any missed or late payments.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including internal departments and external suppliers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, finance, or a related field.
  • Three to seven years of experience in purchasing roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of plant operations and the ability to constructively problem-solve in a complex, cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the procurement function effectively.
  • Ability to build a plan of action and facilitate multidisciplinary teams to answer operational questions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all plant departments and give plant managers confidence to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to prioritize value and effectively choose where to spend time for greater impact/return.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, synthesize, and simplify disparate data points to identify and communicate unique opportunities.
  • Ability to take timely initiative on assigned projects and demonstrate personal initiative by setting and achieving goals.
