About the Opportunity

In this dynamic role, the Building Services Technician will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing Driscoll's grounds, buildings, and equipment to ensure the workspace is safe and functional. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial building maintenance, with experience in electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure all regulatory requirements, such as ADA and state or local reporting requirements, are met.
  • Customer Service: Provide timely responses to all Building Service Categories to ensure customer satisfaction and Operational Excellence.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform roof inspections, routine roof drain maintenance, and make repairs to plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and adjust thermostats to ensure optimal building performance.
  • Inspections & Reporting: Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, and prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with all team members of Real Estate Operations, vendors, building owners, and upper management to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify strategies for Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence.
Requirements
  • Education: High-school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of commercial building maintenance experience.
  • Skills: Expert knowledge of small hand tools and power tools, excellent time management, organization, and prioritization abilities, and ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Valid California driver's license and ability to be covered under a company-sponsored vehicle insurance program.
