Colliers Engineering & Design is in search of a driven professional to oversee geotechnical services from our office. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a team of geotechnical engineers and specialized inspectors.
- Foster effective relationships across all divisions and disciplines.
- Communicate efficiently with contractors, clients, and team members.
- Participate in professional networking events.
- Strategize for business development and service expansion, including cross-selling opportunities.
- Prepare proposals for professional services, including project scope, procedures, and budgets.
- Conduct and supervise engineering calculations and design drawings related to geotechnical elements of projects.
- Oversee geotechnical explorations, site assessments, engineering calculation packages, technical specifications, design drawings, and special inspections.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and adherence to client instructions.
- Monitor project fees and budgets, assuming profit and loss responsibilities for geotechnical components.
- Review all project forecasts, schedules, cost estimates, and reports, ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle; maintain project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- A Master’s degree with a Geotechnical focus is advantageous.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification in the state or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe is required.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, nurture, and mentor talent.
- Proven experience managing projects from inception to completion.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and judgment skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, report writing, and project management abilities.
