Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. As an Education and Assessment Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing evaluation support to schools in the region.

About the Role
  • You will work with students across a wide range of ages and ability levels, conducting evaluations and developing individualized educational plans.
  • Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us understand the needs of our students and develop effective strategies for supporting their academic and personal growth.
  • As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will collaborate with other professionals to discuss services and provide evaluation findings.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans for students, taking into account District and Federal Educational guidelines.
  • Select and administer diagnostic instruments and techniques, organizing evaluation data into comprehensive reports.
  • Provide direct support and interventions to students, families, and other school professionals, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare and submit reports of evaluation results to supervisors and administrators, ensuring compliance with federal law.
  • Serve as a member of the Admission, Review and Dismissal Committee, contributing to informed decision-making.
  • Support school teams in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and implementing Behavioral Intervention Plans, collecting valuable data along the way.
  • Provide mental health services and counseling to students in one-on-one and small group settings, promoting emotional well-being.
  • Offer staff development on topics such as academic assessment, intervention, progress monitoring, behavioral assessment, classroom management, and data analysis.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree from a recognized, accredited college or university.
  • Current license to practice as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) in Texas.
  • Experience working in a school setting, preferably with a focus on psychological services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
