As a Research Scientist, you will design and execute large-scale experiments, swiftly implementing viable concepts while managing timelines and deliverables. Your role will involve applying cutting-edge theories to create new and enhanced products, processes, or technologies. This includes everything from developing experimental frameworks and prototyping solutions to architecting new systems. Our research scientists tackle real-world challenges across various computer science fields, including machine learning, data analytics, natural language processing, and performance optimization.
In this position, you will also play a vital role in the broader research community by disseminating and publishing your findings, drawing inspiration from both internal projects and collaborations with academic institutions and technical organizations worldwide.
Compensation: The US base salary range for this full-time role is $136,000-$200,000, plus bonuses, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, with individual compensation influenced by job-related skills, experience, and education. Specific salary details will be discussed during the hiring process.
Responsibilities:- Produce research papers to disseminate and amplify the impact of research outcomes within the team and the broader research community.
- Contribute to the growth of research initiatives across teams by sharing insights on research trends and best practices.
- Establish the data architecture, framework, design, and evaluation metrics for research solution development and implementation with minimal oversight. Identify necessary resources and timelines.
- Explore emerging research domains by engaging with potential collaborators, both internal and external. Assist in formulating long-term research strategies to enhance the influence of Google research.
- Participate in experimental design based on research inquiries. Develop research prototypes or conduct simulations to assess research impact, refine hypotheses, and enhance research methodologies with limited guidance.
