Overview of the Role:

As a Systems Engineer - Mid/Senior at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, your key responsibilities will include:

· Development and implementation of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies, tools, and frameworks.

· Management of configuration, data, and workflows tailored to specific program MBSE tools and methodologies.

· Creation of protocols for the integration of engineering tools with MBSE practices.

· Establishment of processes, tools, and data frameworks for Digital Engineering initiatives.

· Articulation of high-level functional and performance specifications, along with verification strategies, followed by detailed analysis, decomposition, and derivation of requirements. This includes the allocation of lower-level requirements to both physical and functional architectural components, ensuring tracking throughout design, verification, integration, and operational validation phases.

· Conducting performance evaluations focused on affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, survivability, human systems integration, system security, and other quality factors to achieve mission success.

· Formulation of verification and validation strategies, processes, and plans to support program milestones.

· Engaging in software development and integration of software and testing.

· Translating and analyzing requirements into system architecture, hardware, software designs, and interface specifications.

· Defining and coordinating system performance criteria and technical parameters.

· Conducting tests and validations to ensure system designs align with operational and functional requirements.

Experience and Qualifications:

To qualify for this challenging role, candidates should possess the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Specific educational background and experience details are outlined in the BIA 2023 SRT.

Essential Qualifications:

Education and experience typically obtained through advanced technical education from an accredited program in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and generally 5 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master’s degree plus 3 years of related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in applying engineering methodologies and principles.
  • Knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation.
  • Experience in systems development and integration.
  • Familiarity with modeling or simulating systems.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining systems engineering tools, schedules, and metrics (e.g., Earned Value Management, DOORs, CAMEO).
  • Experience with Model-Based Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis, distributions, and sampling techniques.

Compensation Range:

Please note that the compensation information provided below serves as a general guideline. Actual pay is determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, market conditions, and business considerations.

Mid-level: $81,000 - $144,000

Senior-level: $99,000 - $177,000
