Radiation Therapist - Medical Dosimetry Specialist

DHR Health is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist - Medical Dosimetry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our radiation treatment planning team, you will be responsible for generating radiation dose distributions and calculations for adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in localization procedures using CT or conventional radiographic techniques.
  • Obtain patient contours and assist in outlining anatomical structures and the target volume in three dimensions.
  • Discuss treatment plans with physicians and present isodose distributions via computer.
  • Calculate treatment times and prepare treatment aids and beam modifying devices.
  • Participate in continuing education and quality control programs.

Requirements:

  • Accredited Medical Dosimetry Program
  • Certified Radiation Therapist
  • Five years experience in Radiation Therapy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Working Conditions:

This position spends over 95% of its time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise.
