Position Overview:
This role involves delivering exceptional food and nutrition services to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Dietitian (RD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating appropriate dietary plans tailored to residents' preferences, health conditions, and medical directives.
  • Assess the dietary and health requirements of residents.
  • Calculate and monitor residents' nutritional needs.
  • Provide education to dietary staff regarding nutrition and food services.
  • Review and ensure compliance of therapeutic and standard diet plans with medical orders.

Additional Duties:

  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of nutrition assessments.
  • Conduct quarterly nutritional evaluations and provide dietary education as necessary.
  • Organize and deliver in-service training sessions for the Dietary Department in collaboration with the Registered Dietitian.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and Registered Dietitian to uphold high standards of food service.
  • Report any concerns to the Dietary Manager or Registered Dietitian.
  • Understand and follow the facility's emergency protocols during drills and actual situations.
