Job Overview

SST Direct is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead our construction projects in Houston, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating project activities to ensure timely completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate project activities, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Estimating and Budgeting: Prepare and submit proposal estimates, budget reports, and cost tracking reports to ensure accurate financial projections.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor projects for compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards, and investigate and address construction site incidents and delays.
  • Contract Management: Negotiate and revise contracts with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Direct construction activities for structures, facilities, and systems based on job specifications, and lead a team of construction professionals to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 5 years of commercial construction experience required, with experience in K-12 and higher education construction projects preferred.
  • Skills: Knowledge of industry standards and practices in Job Order Contracting, proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project, and ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
