Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist 2 to join our team at the University of Miami. As a key member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive and non-invasive surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, including setting up equipment and supplies
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of the surgical team, including passing instruments and supplies
  • Maintain a high level of sterility and asepsis during procedures
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support certificate required
