About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in supporting our medical team during interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the procedure room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Stock and restock procedure trays and supplies, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and transfer to and from the procedure room.
  • Act as a scrub assistant, maintaining a sterile technique during procedures.
  • Draw up and label medications, adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Perform circulating duties, ensuring a smooth and efficient procedure.
  • Comply with HIPAA policies and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Assist with environmental integrity and aesthetics, ensuring all areas are clean and safe.
  • Perform minor equipment repairs and general upkeep, communicating issues to supervisors.
  • Assist with disposal of hazardous waste materials and dirty linen.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Surgical Technologist Certification as required by state regulation.
  • 1-2 years' related experience, with previous patient care experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of interventional equipment, procedures, and materials/supplies.
  • Experience with special procedures utilizing a C-Arm preferred.
  • Knowledge of universal precautions and personal protective devices.
  • BLS certification required.
