Project Engineer Role Overview

In the capacity of a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating and producing essential documentation including RFIs, submittals, memos, transmittals, purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders. Your primary responsibilities will encompass scheduling material deliveries, mobilizing subcontractor teams, ensuring the precision of submittals, inspecting installed materials, and recognizing as-built modifications during project completion.

  • Support the management of the project budget and devise strategies to meet financial objectives
  • Oversee subcontracts and purchase orders within an annual limit
  • Establish project documentation and maintain plans and specifications
  • Engage with subcontractors to confirm they possess the required insurance
  • Generate and monitor submittals, transmittals, requests for information, and shop drawing logs
  • Ensure adherence to quality control and safety protocols throughout the project
  • Facilitate closeout processes including O&M manuals, warranties, and surplus materials
  • Document and disseminate meeting notes
  • Assist in estimating and evaluate subcontractor proposals
  • Develop and sustain project timelines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Prior experience in construction management is essential
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required
  • Demonstrated reliability and adherence to guidelines
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
