Project Manager - Water

Careers
Garver is seeking a Project Manager in Tulsa or Oklahoma City to join our established Oklahoma Region Water Team working on water, wastewater, and reuse specific facility and infrastructure projects. The Project Manager will manage projects consisting of design reports, studies, technical memoranda, detailed plans, and specifications. The Project Manager must be capable of working closely with clients to ensure their expectations of services are exceeded.

The Project Manager will also assist the Oklahoma Regional Team Leader in managing and mentoring internal staff, coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring the delivery of quality products that adhere to Garver standardization. This Project Manager will also be included in client meetings and at industry conferences on behalf of Garver and the Water Business Line.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Design and managing a variety of projects related to water conveyance and distribution, including pump stations and storage facilities
  • Wastewater conveyance and collection, including lift stations and force mains
  • Pipeline inspection and rehabilitation
  • Water, Wastewater, Reuse master planning
  • Water, Wastewater, Reuse treatment facilities and infrastructure

Candidates will be familiar with:
  • Technical competence with water or wastewater engineering and civil engineering
  • Managing scope, budget, and schedule for a team of project engineers, design engineers, and CAD Technicians in the development of water projects
  • Managing project budgets including the development of detailed project instructions, scope of work, level of effort, and associated man-hour estimates
  • Responsibility for time management and work product quality
  • Accurate and up-to-date project accounting on all assigned projects
  • Conducting written and oral project reporting for clients and Team Leader(s)
  • Preparing and delivering Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans
  • Conducting Construction engineering administration management for local projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 4 or more years of similar technical experience
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE)
Preferred
  • Passionate about client service and the water industry
  • Strong work ethic and strong communication skills
  • Masters' Degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program
