Job Summary:

The Resident Care Specialist provides direct care to residents and supports the implementation of their care plan. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, such as feeding, bathing, and ambulating, as well as taking vital signs and providing weights to nursing staff. The ideal candidate will maintain resident confidentiality, work collaboratively with the healthcare team, and demonstrate effective listening skills to provide support for resident needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily living activities, including feeding, bathing, and ambulating
  • Take initial vital signs and provide weights to nursing staff
  • Report changes in vital signs or measurements to the Supervisor/Charge Nurse
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident-related issues and support resident rights
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care

Requirements:
  • Active Maine C.N.A License
  • Ability to empathize with residents and their families
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
