Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to lead the execution of product development concepts within our Publishing Platform Products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing substantial, complex, multiple product deliveries, utilizing a combination of technical expertise and publishing experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the various stages of product development, contributing technical expertise to product development.
  • Coordinate the development of new software applications with IT engineers.
  • Ensure timely product delivery.
  • Manage all program activities, including oversight of multiple key IT projects and operational activities, contracts, and vendor management, budget, communications.
  • Monitor performance metrics of the products.
  • Produce key program-level deliverables that reflect the progress and measure the rate of business value delivery for software products.
  • Contribute ideas to product development initiatives.
  • Lead staff and contractors from Publications and IT divisions to identify program-level objectives, deliverables, and milestones, and to align project activities and dependencies with the program plan.
  • Plan and manage product development stages.
  • Facilitate program increment planning meetings and cross-team planning.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in technical program management.
  • Other experience and skills must include:
    • SAFE Agile or similar large solutions software product development planning methodology.
    • Leading and managing complex, strategic efforts comprised of multiple projects, stakeholders, departments, and technology platforms.
    • Hiring, onboarding, training, developing, mentoring, and managing performance of employees in Project/Product Management and Product Owner roles.
    • Development of technical program strategies, roadmaps, budgets, and management of costs.
    • Establishing contracts, relationships, and expectations with vendors.
    • Technologies and tools required to manage program-level artifacts and communications including Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project, and SharePoint.
  • Less than 10% domestic and international travel required.
  • Must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
