Job Summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Data Warehouse Developer to join our team. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will be responsible for designing and developing Enterprise Data Warehouse components, collaborating with business and technology departments to understand system data and its use, and providing support around the data and how it is integrated within the EDW platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Data Warehouse Components: Design and develop Enterprise Data Warehouse components, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation.
  • Assist in EDW System Development: Assist in the development, maintenance, and support of the D-H enterprise data warehouse system and corresponding data marts.
  • Troubleshoot and Enhance Data Warehouse Applications: Troubleshoot, tune, and enhance existing data warehouse applications.
  • Lead and Mentor Team Members: Provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Create New Data Warehouse Components: Create new or enhanced components of the data warehouse.
  • Participate in Reporting System Design: Participate in the design, development, and documentation of reporting systems.
  • Drive Initiatives and Projects: Demonstrate ability to participate in multi-functional projects independently and act as the point of contact to drive initiatives.
  • Strong Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, initiative, and ability to handle meetings with all levels of management.
  • Work Independently: Work independently to carry out departmental and institutional initiatives.
  • Collaborate and Lead Teams: Collaborate well and lead within team and user groups structures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in above disciplines with 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Programming and Data Management Experience: Minimum of 3 years of programming, data management, and/or analytics experience.
  • Database and Visualization Skills: Hands-on proficiency in at least one of the following: SQL Server, Oracle, or SAS.
  • Visualization Tool Proficiency: Hands-on proficiency in at least one visualization tool: SAS VA, QlikView, or Web.
  • Agile Framework Familiarity: Familiarity with Agile framework.
  • Data Management Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in managing large and complex data sets.
  • Healthcare Data Environment Knowledge: Strong understanding of the healthcare data environment, security, and clinical and business workflows.
  • Healthcare Data Experience: Direct experience managing and analyzing healthcare data, experience with national health survey data, and complex survey design methods.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Database Knowledge: Knowledge of RDBMS/SQL relational databases and/or non-relational databases and/or knowledge of other statistical software packages.
  • Interpersonal and Organizational Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills, including the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Independent Work Ability: Able to work independently with minimal supervision and maximum collaboration in a team environment.
  • Priority Setting and Time Management: Able to set priorities, handle multiple assignments and deadlines, and display excellent judgment while operating in a flexible and professional manner.
