Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team at AC Hotel Washington DC Convention Center. This is a weekend-only position, requiring the ability to work both morning and afternoon shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and repair maintenance work to ensure the hotel meets established quality and sustainability standards.
  • Conduct room inspections to identify repair needs and implement solutions.
  • Install or repair sheetrock, wall coverings, and other necessary materials.
  • Paint designated areas and items to maintain a high level of aesthetic appeal.
  • Install, replace, and program televisions, as well as perform minor plumbing functions.
  • Repair furniture and maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
  • Ensure all work is performed to local, state, and Federal codes.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work to increase departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Work as a bell attendant during peak check-in/out periods or staffing shortages.
  • Follow Service Recovery Guidelines and sustainability practices.
  • Practice safe work habits and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
Requirements
  • High School diploma and trade school coursework in a related field preferred.
  • Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.
Work Environment

This role requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crawling, and climbing.

The work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends, as well as alternate shifts.
