We are seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join our team at Rosewood Hotel Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our luxury hotel's mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Chief Engineer in maintaining the property's daily operations
  • Participate in the preventive maintenance program of all-building equipment and rooms
  • Ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of equipment, as well as maintenance and repair of locks, keys, and locksmith-related duties
  • Work cohesively with the engineering team to accomplish daily maintenance tasks
Requirements
  • Minimum three years' experience in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Kitchen Equipment, Plumbing, or Refrigeration for a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel/resort
  • Education: High school diploma. Engineering certifications preferred in HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance
  • General Skills: Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of plumbing codes, electrical codes, national/local fire codes, local mechanical codes, water treatment programs, blue prints, and plumbing and wiring schematics, power and hand tools, meters, etc. as it relates to the technical trades
